We introduced Japan's first method of processing sweet potatoes that will contribute to 'safety' and 'deliciousness'. We support the future of the earth and shochu culture.

"Water" and "soil" are indispensable for the processing of sweet potatoes. At Kairen, we believe that in the process of washing sweet potatoes' "soil" using "water", neither of them should be wasted. "Water" and "soil" are limited resources on earth.

Not limited to the cultivation of agricultural crops, environmental problems cannot be avoided in terms of food processing. It’s not that we must be kind to the earth, we are actually borrowing the power of the earth so it is natural to pay full respect and do everything possible to preserve the environment.

To realize the environmentally friendly sweet potato processing for the future of the earth and shochu culture, we at Kairen have three environmental declarations that we are currently working on; they are "securing recycled wash water", "wastewater treatment utilizing aragonite from Kagoshima", and “recycling sludge after washing sweet potatoes”.
